ORIGINS
Bolognese sauce, tomato-based meat sauce for pasta attributed to the Italian city of Bologna, the centre of a rich agricultural region. Bologna, in north-central Italy, is the main city of Emilia-Romagna, a region that some say produces the best food in the country.
WAHT IS IT?
Bolognese sauce is a classic Italian sauce for pasta made with beef ground meat and tomatoe sauce. It’s slow cooked with a soffritto (Mirepoix) of onions, carrots, and celery.
It becomes our GOURMET version by adding on top of the classic one some “Special” ingredients such as: Bresaola IGP, Ricotta Cheese & Fried Potatoes Sticks.
IS IT HALAL?
Our Bolognese Sauce is made using only Beef Meat. There NO contamination with other ingrediants such as Pork or Wine.
OUR RECIPE
Dal Moro’s® Bolognese Sauce follows the traditional Italian recipe.  This authentic Italian recipe is not difficult to make it just needs time and patience, one of the most delicious sauces I believe you will ever taste. This delicious Authentic Bolognese Sauce or Ragu alla Bolognese is made with fresh ingredients and cooked low and slow. A true Bolognese sauce recipe takes time (about 4 hours), but it is so worth it.
WHAT KIND OF PASTA SHAPE?
The Fresh Pasta Type we, at Dal Moro’s® use for our Bolognese Sauce is the “Bigoli” which has the texture and flavor of standard pasta, made with flour and water. It is thick so called “Fat Spaghetti”.
